This 21st Century & generously proportioned detached house features four double bedrooms, three en-suite bathrooms

Situated in a prominent and elevated position high above the magnificent golden sands and dramatic cliffs of Mawgan Porth is this generously proportioned and very 21st Century detached house designed to take full advantage of the far reaching ocean views. Witness the tide crashing in on the wide expanse of beach below, all from the privacy of this magnificently elevated locale.

Seadrift can be found on a quiet private lane, brilliantly positioned for easy access to both the beach (approximately 400 meters), the rugged South West coast path and the revered Bedruthan & Scarlett Hotels with their first class spa and recreational facilities.

Seadrift offers stunning reverse style accommodation with a lofty vaulted ceiling over the large open plan living, dining and kitchen space - perfect for entertaining - and a beautiful balcony to the front overlooking the sea. Huge floor to ceiling windows bring the outside in along with an abundance of natural light. The contemporary kitchen is fully equipped with the island taking centre stage and incorporating a halogen hob, a Neff slide and hide electric oven, dishwasher, plenty of Quartz worktop space and sea views. The whole room benefits from a beautiful travertine limestone floor with a contemporary freestanding woodburning stove cited to one side. There is also a handy cloakroom and lockable storage room on the first floor.

Elegant curved oak stairs descend to the natural slate ground floor hallway with an impressed gable end of glass framing the far reaching views beyond. Downstairs in the hall, there is space for coats, boots and comfy seating. To the rear of this impressive central hallway is the utility area with a ceramic Belfast sink surrounded by a Blue Pearl marble worktop and a double shower wetroom for washing the sand off after a day at the beach.

At the front of the house, two double bedrooms each have patio doors to the outside, excellent sea views, built in wardrobes and stylish en-suite shower rooms. Two further double bedrooms have built in wardrobes, one having a jack and jill modern en-suite bathroom complete with spa bath.

Seadrift has a beautiful wrap around garden with a gravel patio, large lawned area and decking, perfect for alfresco dining. The lawn at the front of the property has superb sea views and driveway parking for approximately four cars is available to the side in front of the attached double garage. Services to the property include mains electricity, gas, water and drainage. The property benefits from underfloor heating with a solar powered water heating installation.

Mawgan Porth is now one of the most sought after locations in North Cornwall. The magnificent sandy beach is famous for water sports activities serving surfers and bathers alike with stunning cliff and coastline walks. Fine dining is available locally at the award-winning Scarlet Hotel as well as first class spa and recreational facilities at The Scarlett & Bedruthan Hotel. The bay provides a range of amenities including a deli, surf school, fish restaurant, takeaway, The Merrymoor public house and a few beach side boutique shops.

Rick Stein's esteemed Seafood restaurant, Paul Ainsworth's Michelin starred No.6 and cool seafood bar Prawn On The Lawn in picturesque Padstow can be found just a few miles along the very scenic coast road. Well situated for ease of transport, Mawgan Porth is less than a 15 minute drive off the main A30 and just five minutes away from Newquay Airport with its domestic and international flight services. The main line train station at Bodmin Parkway is an approximate 30 minutes drive away. The beautiful picture box perfect village of St Mawgan lies 2.5 miles inland and has a Post Office, stores, village green, the wonderful Falcon Inn public House and a beautiful 13th century church as well a well regarded primary school.

To find Seadrift, head towards Newquay from Padstow along the coast road passing through St Merryn and Porthcothan along the way. Upon entering the hamlet of Trenance, turn right at the telephone box and postbox. Drive down the lane towards the beach for approximately 100 yards and then take the next lane on the left.
