An iconic and beautifully presented period residence of immense style and character, St Saviours is part of the original

An iconic and beautifully presented period residence of immense style and character, St Saviours is part of the original Prideaux Brune Estate dating back to the 1800's occupying a commanding position on the corner of St Saviours Lane in old town Padstow. It is a hugely prominent and highly desirable feature residence in a most sought after part of picturesque Padstow.

Bordering historic Prideaux Place with views across the deer park, the house is but a short walk to the south west coastal path which leads to the spectacular beaches of rugged North Cornwall.

Retaining all the character of the period, St Saviours House leaves a lasting impression as you step inside to admire the large high ceilinged rooms with deep skirting and cornicing, ornate coving, original open fireplaces, ornamental iron register fireplaces, original slate flooring and tall sash windows with shutters and window seating. The house is also neutrally and tastefully decorated throughout.

During their tenure, the present vendors have lovingly restored the house to its former glory. As the accompanying floorplans illustrate, the accommodation comprises an inviting entrance hall with original slate floor, a comfortable living room with an ornate feature fireplace and stripped wood flooring and a second reception room complete with both an open fireplace and a wood burning stove. This dual aspect double sized room has a beautiful combination of slate and wood flooring, recessed cupboards and alcoves.

Moving into the kitchen, one cannot fail to be impressed with the modern yet classic and comprehensive range of cabinets and drawers topped by unique leathered granite surfaces, eye catching Aga and oak detailing. Beyond the kitchen is a generous size utility room, cloakroom, shower enclosure and home office/study. Head up the grand staircase to the first floor where four large double bedrooms reside, each with an ornate feature fireplace alongside a fifth single size room. The master bedroom has an elegant en-suite bathroom complete with a freestanding slipper bath, his and hers crisp white basins and large walk in shower enclosure with traditional valves and shower head. The extended landing is large enough to serve as a library and the main family bathroom is beautifully appointed, again with a separate bath and shower enclosure.

Landscaped gardens to the rear provide a restful haven to sit and enjoy the tranquility the location affords, exquisite stone work and gentle terracing are interspersed with a variety of specimen trees, shrubs, established planting and lawn all within the privacy and security of the high boundary wall at the rear which borders the Prideaux deer park.

To the front of the house, ornate iron entrance gates reveal the cobbled driveway with room enough for at least four cars-a substantial asset in Padstow! Beyond the driveway is a double garage, atop of which sits a large decked terrace with far reaching views across the town to the stunning Camel estuary beyond. There is also a raised stone well which provides natural water with a piped supply to the kitchen and utility room. Services to the property include mains water, gas, electricity and drainage.

The historic and picturesque fishing town of Padstow is located on the North Coast of Cornwall and offers an extensive range of cafes, public houses and restaurants, none more so than Paul Ainsworth's Michelin starred No.6, cool seafood bar Prawn On The Lawn and of course Rick Stein's esteemed Seafood restaurant. An area of outstanding natural beauty, there are an abundance of sandy beaches in close proximity including Trevone, Harlyn and Constantine bay where the revered championship golf course at Trevose is situated.

To find St Saviours, drive towards Padstow on the A389. Follow this road around the outskirts of the town passing the fire station and main carpark on your right. Turn right at signs for Prideaux Place and Fentonluna. Pass the entrance to Prideaux Place then take the next left into Tregirls Lane. Take the second right onto Fentonluna Lane and follow until you see St Saviours Lane on the left hand side. St Saviours is the first house on the left. The postcode for satellite navigation is PL28 8BD.
