This elegant three bedroom/three storey townhouse is located in the desirable old town area of Padstow

Located in the desirable old town area of Padstow just yards from the hustle and bustle of this vibrant town and working harbour, Flagship House is an elegant three bedroom home of approximately 1395 square feet with an impressive three storeys of characterful accommodation and a tiered and private patio garden to the rear. Dating back at least a couple of centuries, the property has been owned by the current vendors for 36 years making this a unique opportunity in the local market.

The accommodation comprises an entrance porch and hallway with doors to both the lounge and dining room as well as stairs rising to the first floor. The dining room has a beamed ceiling and attractive recessed shelving and is open to the kitchen extension at the rear. The kitchen is fitted with modern shaker style floor and wall cabinets and drawers with a Corian work surface and matching upstands. There is an electric Rangemaster cooker and matching extractor hood along with space and plumbing for a dishwasher and washing machine. There is even a larder/storage cupboard and a huge amount of natural light. The lounge is located to the front of the property and benefits from a deep sill window with shutters and storage beneath and a cast iron multifuel stove sat within an attractive fireplace central to the room. There is recessed storage space and an understairs cupboard with even more storage.

After a day exploring the narrow streets of Padstow, retire to one of the three double bedrooms, one on the first floor and two more on the second floor. The first bedroom has a front aspect window onto Duke Street, a beamed ceiling and a large recessed cupboard. Across the landing is a large modern bathroom with a beautiful freestanding roll top bath with claw feet, a large corner shower enclosure and crisp white sanitary ware. The two second floor bedrooms are both good size doubles. Interestingly, the front aspect bedroom has a vaulted ceiling with exposed trusses and Velux windows which adds a huge amount of character and appeal. Both bedrooms have a framed view of the Camel estuary and the front bedroom has built in wardrobes and storage.

Head out from the kitchen and up a set of slate steps to the tiered patio garden. This suntrap offers low maintenance hard landscaping using traditional local stone and slate to make up the patios and boundary walls. An established hedge and timber fencing create a private and enclosed space, ideal for al fresco dining or a glass of wine in the evening. The top tier is home to a traditional garden shed and will take a table and chairs. Services to the property include mains water, electricity and drainage and there is UPVC double glazing throughout.

Located in the heart of the conservation area just yards from the vibrant harbour, quaint shops, cafes and restaurants of picturesque Padstow, we at Jackie Stanley highly recommend an internal viewing of this elegant and characterful home.
