Exciting redevelopment opportunity situated in a prime frontline position on the beach at Portreath
Situated in a prime frontline position with spectacular uninterrupted views across an expanse of golden sand with the roaring ocean beyond, Beachside occupies one of the finest locations in Portreath right on the beach with a position that is hard to rival.
Subject to obtaining the requisite planning permission, Beachside represents an exciting redevelopment opportunity to create the waterside home of your dreams with direct access to the golden sandy beach below. We at Jackie Stanley believe it is essential to view Beachside to fully appreciate just how wonderful this frontline position is and the potential it holds.
Beachside is a dilapidated detached chalet bungalow and requires demolition. There is off road parking to the front of the property from Battery Hill and the tiered plot has a patio terrace and path leading onto the beach. Services to the current dwelling include mains water, electricity and drainage.
Portreath is a beautiful, historic harbour village, once very active with mining, importing coal and exporting copper to and from Swansea. The old mining tram roads have now been adapted to create excellent cycle trails, notably the coast-coast, Portreath to Devoran which is approximately 11 miles. Other leisure options on the door step are the SW Coast Path walks, heading west towards Godrevy or East to Porthtowan or further to Chapel Porth and St. Agnes, all directions offering gorgeous scenery. The sandy beach and bay itself is popular with surfers and the village has a thriving Surf Live Saving Club. The nearby Gwel An Mor Resort offers 'The Famous Nine Golf Course' or there is Tehidy Park Golf Club, founded in 1922, within easy reach, a great parkland course in a lovely setting. Tehidy Country Park is 5 minutes drive away, 250 acres of woodland and lakes with 9 miles of footpaths to explore.
The seaside village is bustling all year and offers a wonderful sense of community with a number of independent shops and cafes, local pubs, Post Office, a Costcutter, bakery, Junior School and Community Hall. Hayle, just 10 miles, and Truro, just 13 miles, are in easy reach. There are national train connections with a main line to London Paddington about 4 miles away in Redruth and Newquay airport is approximately 30 miles distant with domestic and international flights.
To find Beachside, follow the main A30 trunk road westbound towards Redruth. Take the A3047 slip road to Portreath and follow the signs all the way to Portreath.
