This substantial five bedroom detached period property has an abundance of character & potential

Trewin House is a handsome period property of substantial proportions with a wonderful character and history, standing prominently on Bossiney Road between the villages of Tintagel and Bossiney on the rugged North Cornish coast. The property is thought to date back to 1893 and this is the first time the property has been on the market for 38 years.

Character is in abundance at Trewin House, large rooms and high ceilings, original slate floors and a large stone fireplace combine gracefully with a beautiful modern kitchen and a huge amount of natural light from the large UPVC double glazed windows which continue throughout the property. The ground floor accommodation is briefly comprised of the lounge with large stone fireplace and door to the front porch. The lounge leads into the kitchen/breakfast room which is home to a modern range of soft close pale grey floor and wall cabinets and drawers with square edged work surfaces and matching upstands. Integral appliances include a Hotpoint induction hob, Smeg eye level oven, microwave and a fridge/freezer. To one side sits a solid fuel Rayburn with recessed shelves and ample space for a dining table and chairs. The ground floor accommodation also has a separate dining room or study, utility room with separate store room and a shower room complete with WC. A side porch doubles as a pleasant place to sit and relax.

Up on the first floor are no less than five bedrooms, four of which are genuine doubles and three of which have wash hand basins. There is a large airing cupboard before a few steps down lead to another shower room and separate WC. There is a huge loft space with fantastic potential for conversion into further accommodation, subject to acquiring the necessary planning permission.

To the front of Trewin House is a pretty lawned garden with well stocked flower beds and a stone boundary wall. To the side is a long driveway that leads to the rear of the property. At this point, please note that the bungalow behind has a right of way over the driveway for access. To the rear is ample parking for several vehicles and a second area of lawn complete with a greenhouse. There is also an extremely useful external store room with personal door and windows. Services to the property include mains water, electricity and drainage with an oil fired central heating system.

Trewin House is located on the outskirts and a short level walk of Tintagel which is situated on the North coast of Cornwall. There are beautiful cliff top walks just a short distance from the property leading down to Bossiney Cove and along the south west coast path. A range of local amenities can be found in the village of Tintagel offering a pharmacy, infant and primary schools, a selection of restaurants and public houses. The village is also famed for its links to the legend of King Arthur and is home to the castle ruins. For a more comprehensive range of shopping facilities, the towns of Wadebridge and Camelford are within easy reach by car.

To find Trewin House, follow the A39 from Wadebridge signposted to Camelford. After approximately 9 miles, turn left onto the B3266 signposted to Boscastle and Tintagel. Follow the B3266 for approximately 2 miles and then turn left onto the B3314 signposted to Tintagel. After 300 yards, turn right onto the B3263 signposted to Trebarwith Strand and Tintagel. Follow this road for approximately 4 miles until you enter the village of Tintagel. Turn right at the mini roundabout and follow Bossiney Road for approximately 0.5 miles and Trewin House can be found along on the right hand side. The postcode for satellite navigation is PL34 0AQ.
